Our mission is to share knowledge and networking opportunities, and increase awareness of the benefits of UX in organizations and as a career.
We offer in-person events and online events covering all aspects of UX. Events are open to the public. We do not charge membership fees.
UX Akron is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) user experience community in Northeast Ohio, primarily serving the Akron and Cleveland areas, Canton, Youngstown, Kent, and surrounding areas.

Augmenting Human Insight: Enhancing Listening in Qualitative Research with AI
Conducting research with participants at the speed and scale required of UX teams is challenging. We are seeing examples and explorations of how AI can assist us in processing large quantities of data from our research, increasing the capability to transcribe, translate and synthesize (with major caution around ethics and privacy).
Speaker Kelsey Thomson will explore the strengths and weaknesses of both humans and machines in the art of listening in UX research, and explore a future where listening deeply to our users at scale could be an achievable reality.
